Our Service model
We are an organization of twelve YouthBuild programs serving opportunity youth throughout the state of Massachusetts and Portland, ME.
In 1990, YouthBuild Boston was founded as the first replication of the YouthBuild model outside of New York. By 1996, five more programs had been established across Massachusetts. It was then that the Massachusetts YouthBuild Coalition was formed based on the theory that we could accomplish much more for our communities together, on both the state and national level, than we could on our own.
As it turns out, we were right...
Since then, five more sites have been developed across the Commonwealth, making us a group of eleven programs serving nearly twenty communities that have been identified as areas in great need. In eighteen years, with the help of our dedicated staff and driven students, we have grown into one of the largest, most influential YouthBuild coalitions in the country -- and we're still prepared to grow.
