YouthBuild Construction Staff Earns HBI PACT Certification

Construction staff members from six YouthBuild programs took part in a training to certify them as instructors for the PACT Curriculum of the Home Builders Institute.  This curriculum leads to instruction for the students who, upon passing, receive a nationally recognized credential. The PACT training starts with job safety and then covers the specific skills that will be needed for the students to enter the construction industry.  This is one area that has been projected by the Department of Labor as an emerging industry that will be looking to attract new workers to fill voids left by an existing, retiring workforce.
